Weekly Mind Dump: Bible Study Restarted (by Mark Tolson)

✪ We restarted our Sunday Morning Bible Study (break for three weeks because of the holiday) and I was very happy with the turnout. We had a good group of people come back and one guy showed interest to study the Bible with me one-on-one.

✪ Sunday night we studied, “What is the local church?” which caused a lot of good conversation. We stayed for about 45 longer than normal going over all their questions and finishing the lesson.

✪ We are now working on Book 2 of our discipleship material. We are hoping to get this done in the next 10 weeks or so.

✪ We are planning a Baptism activity this next month.

✪ Be praying for this summer as we will have to travel to another city to have the baby. That means we will need someone to be in charge of the church why we are gone. I am working with a couple guys right now and praying they will be ready and willing by the time it comes around. Please pray with us.

✪ Recently Read: A Tale of Three Kings – I honestly am not sure what to write after reading this book. I had no expectations when I started reading it, but just knew it was highly recommended. I now know why: It was intriguing. As I was reading through it and had an objection in my mind, the book made me stop and think why, to evaluate my motives. Though there are still some parts of the book I am unsure about, I would have to say the majority of the book made me look at my own rebellion and to see what kind of leader I am have been, am being, and want to be. From the book: “What does this world need: gifted men and women, outwardly empowered? Or individuals who are broken, inwardly transformed?” [1]

✪ My in-laws arrive tonight around 11:00. Pray everything goes smoothly during their time here.
