The Most High Rules (by Beau Carpenter)

BP 9-17-14

Daniel 4:25, 37
25 That they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field, and they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and they shall wet thee with the dew of heaven, and seven times shall pass over thee, till thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.

37 Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.

God was about to do something very unusual to Nebuchadrezzar so that everyone would know that God is the one who rules. No man should lift himself up to where he is attempting to be like God. There is only one God, only one King, only one Lord.

God used this time to take Nebuchadnezzar down so that he would know that God ruled. The lesson that was taken from it was that God is the King, his works are truth, his ways are Judgement and he is able to abase those who walk in pride.

Do you recognize that God is the king and that he rules? Will you honor and worship him as King?
