Deuteronomy 4:9

This is a saying that is repeated multiple times throughout the book (vs.15,23 and other chapters). Over and over God tells the people, through Moses, to be careful so that they do not forget.

And the same applies to us. We should take heed lest we fall (1 Cor. 10:14). We should take heed lest we forget. We should take heed lest we become arrogant. We should take heed lest we lose opportunities. Take heed because the devil wants to destroy us. Take heed that we do not quench the Spirit of God. And may we never forget: forget where we came from, forget about the devil destroying many mighty in the past, forget about His commands, forget about His mercy, His goodness and His holiness. Take heed… and don’t forget.
